Moha Chaturvedi, MA

I’m so glad you’re here! I am a therapist offering counselling in both English and Hindi and see people in-person in Vancouver, BC and online across Canada. I specialize in eating disorders, sex therapy, pregnancy and postpartum, and complex trauma, with the bulk of my practice focusing on the experiences of folks who self-identify as women or non-binary.

At the heart of my work is a trust in people and their capacity to grow. Each of us carries inherent value, insight, and resilience. Along the way, we often learn ways of thinking and responding that helped us survive difficult experiences, but may now keep us stuck. These habits are frequently rooted in messages that tell us we are unsafe, unworthy, or lacking in some way.

A little bit about me.

My approach to counselling combines my background in research with my love for truly connecting with people. I have trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, emotionally-focused therapy, somatic and mindfulness-based approaches. These modalities draw from research in neuroscience, developmental psychology, and trauma psychology.

As an immigrant who also moved a lot growing up, I have learned to adapt to, and connect with folks from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. I am a naturally curious and outgoing person, with a love for people and their stories.

I believe that healing is relational. This means that healing occurs through safe, predictable, and positive connections with others. As a therapist, I aim to provide you with a warm and secure connection where you can express your deepest fears, learn to trust, say things out loud that might feel too heavy to acknowledge otherwise, and develop a stronger sense of self.

Who I work with.

I work with adults from all walks of life, with a strong commitment to supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ and IBPOC clients who identify as women and non-binary. I meet you where you are, whether you are navigating:

  • Trauma and past experiences that continue to affect you

  • Pregnancy and postpartum transition, including depression, anxiety, burnout, overwhelm, intimacy after giving birth, body image challenges, birth trauma, etc.

  • Sexual challenges, including pain, desire discrepancy, being employed in the sex-work industry, compulsive sexual-behaviour, etc.

  • Disordered eating, body image challenges, and eating disorders

  • Relationship challenges, including seeking a deeper connection with your partner, communication, boundaries, trust, navigating non-monogamy, etc.

Working with me.

Therapy with me is warm, authentic, and grounded in a genuine commitment to your wellbeing. You can expect support that is both comforting, gently challenging, and sprinkled with humor. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.In our sessions we will:

  • Explore patterns that no longer serve you

  • Understand and reprocess how your past experiences connect to your present feelings

  • Build practical tools and strategies for navigating everyday life

  • Support growth that feels aligned with your values and identity

My rates.

My fees reflect my training and the care I bring to each session. As a graduate counsellor, my standard rate is $160 for a 50-minute session. I offer all new clients a free 20-minute video consultation, giving us space to connect, talk through what you are looking for, and see whether working together feels like a good fit.

Following each session, I provide a receipt that you may be able to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement, depending on your coverage. I do not offer direct billing, and I recommend checking with your insurer to confirm whether services provided provided by a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) are covered under your plan.

I believe therapy should be as accessible as possible. If cost is a concern, I offer a limited number of reduced-rate spaces and welcome you to ask about availability during your initial consultation.

Payment is due at the time of each session and can be made by e-transfer or credit card.

Book an appointment.

I offer all new clients a first free 20 minute introduction call. This helps us learn more about each other, give you a sense of what it would be like to work with me, and offer you a chance to ask any questions you might have.
