Calen Trentini, BMgt
Calen is a practicum student counsellor completing his Master of Counselling at City University. He believes every person deserves to feel truly seen, heard, and understood, and that this kind of genuine connection is where real change and growth begins. Calen's approach is eclectic and intentionally flexible. Whether he's drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, or Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), he shapes how he works around the person in front of him, meeting each client in the way that fits them best, whether that calls for gentle challenge, validation, or simply being present.
His work is grounded in lived experience, including his time supporting individuals through loss and grief at the BC Bereavement Helpline. He is a self-proclaimed ‘therapy nerd’ and lifelong learner who can usually be found with his nose in a textbook for some light fun reading. He brings a quiet humour and lightness to his work to facilitate growth and healing with his clients.
Calen works with individuals navigating life challenges, anxiety, stress, addiction, burn-out, relationship challenges, trauma and more. If you're looking for a space where you can be honest, be yourself, and start to move forward, he'd be glad to walk alongside you.
